The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
2024: Last year, on 10 November, The Remembrance Day Parade in Wetherby went very well. All credit to all who had a part in organising it and making it such a success. Hundreds of people gathered to watch the parade in lightly falling rain, and the applause from the sides of the road as the parade marched away was very much appreciated by the veterans. Well done all, especially our Branch Standard Bearer who had again made the trip up from parading our new Standard at the Albert Hall Festival of Remembrance on the Saturday evening in time for our Wetherby Parade.
Well done all!
