Branch President ANDY YOUNG PEDALLED TO PARIS FOR THE LEGION

September 2014 - Retired RAF group captain Andy Young of Whittington took on a challenging bike ride covering 460km from London to Paris to raise money for The Royal British Legion in support of our Armed Forces.

Andy was one of hundreds of cyclists on the ‘Pedal to Paris’ bike ride, which began in London on Thursday 4 September and ended at the Arc De Triomphe on Sunday 8 September.

Poppies can be worn all year round if so desired! That is why you often see TV presenters etc. wearing them before the official start of Remembranctide. It is in the interests of The Royal British Legion to get the widest possible publicity for the start of the all-important fortnight in November.
