Remembrance Sunday in Welwyn Garden City
The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
10th November 2024
Welwyn Garden City
The Parade assembles on The Campus at 10.30 am.
The Remembrance service commences at The Howardsgate Memorial at 10:50 hrs.
Hatfield Hyde
The procession leaves St Mary Magdelene Church at 14:50 hrs.
The Remembrance Service commences at the Memorial at 15:00 hrs.
RBL Members and Guests are welcome to attend at the Royal Naval Association Club after both ceremonies.
Armistice Day Monday 11th November
This commemorates the actual date on which the First World War ended with the signing of the Armistice. There will be a short service at the Howardsgate Memorial commencing at 10:45 hrs.
