Wellingborough

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

We organise on behalf of Wellingborough Town Council the Cenotaph Parade, the Two Minutes Silence, the Festival of Remembrance and many other national tributes to the fallen.

The Royal British Legion provides a home to the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire which records the names of the fallen and hosts the annual dedication of the names of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Legion takes 10,000 Army recruits and thousands of schoolchildren annually on tours of First World War battlefields.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

View our News & Events calendar for details of local Remembrance events.

In 2023 Remembrance Sunday falls on 12th November.

All ex-service personnel are more than welcome to join us.

Full details of the parade will appear at a later date
