Washington has once again risen to the challenge of the Poppy Appeal in 2022 despite its late organisation. So well done everybody, and a big Thank You to all of the people of Washington, the surrounding areas, the businesses and schools, who have been so generous in their support. The team outside the Galleries branch of ASDA and Sainsbury's have done a wonderful job, yet again. Many thanks to each and every one of you. A special thank you to Malcolm for his many years of service to the Poppy Appeal. Malcolm is proposing to stand down as Poppy Coordinator in 2023 after many years of service: however, he will still be present at future Remembrance celebrations in his role as MC.
