Branch Information

The Warboys Branch was first established in 1921 as one of the original branches of the Royal British Legion.

The branch’s story is inextricably linked to the village’s wartime role, most notably as the home of RAF Warboys. During World War II, this airfield was a key base for the legendary Pathfinder Force. Today, the branch remains a guardian of this history, ensuring that the sacrifices made by residents and the service members stationed here are never forgotten.

We are more than just a commemorative group; we are a hub for comradeship and support. Our mission focuses on several key areas:

  • Remembrance: Organizing the annual Remembrance Sunday services and maintaining the local Roll of Honour.
  • The Poppy Appeal: Leading local fundraising efforts to provide lifelong support for the Armed Forces community.
  • Community & Comradeship: Hosting monthly meetings and social events to bring veterans and supporters together in a friendly, welcoming environment.
