Below is a list of dates for your diary on what's happening in the Tokyo Branch of The Royal British Legion.
Committee meetings are quarterly. These informal gatherings are open to all members and their friends to promote fellowship and The Royal British Legion here in Japan.
The 2022 Committee meeting dates are 11 January, 12 April, 12 July, and 11 October.
Significant regular events in which our members participate include:
ANZAC Day Service, conducted annually on 25 April at the Commonwealth War Cemetery, Hodogaya, Yokohama to honour the many brave souls who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy today.
Memorial Day Services, conducted annually on the last Sunday of May at the Yokohama Cremation Memorial, Commonwealth War Cemetery, Hodogaya, Yokohama by The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, to commemorate fallen heroes in defence of our freedom.
Armed Forces Day Dinner, held annually in June, to honour Britain's Armed Forces past, present and future.
Trafalgar Night Dinner, held annually in October in celebration of Lord Nelson's victory over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar.
Remembrance Day Ceremony, conducted on the nearest Sunday to 11 November at the Commonwealth War Cemetery, Hodogaya, Yokohama to honour the memory of Commonwealth service personnel who gave their lives in the Second World War and other conflicts.
Branch Annual General Meeting, held in October or November, at which Branch Officers and Committee Members are elected - all members are invited to attend.
