The Poppy Appeal in Thorpe
The Royal British Legion - Thorpe Poppy Appeal raised over £23,000.00 for the year ending 30th September 2017; which is very creditable and due to a very dedicated team of Helpers and Collectors comprising Branch Members and many Supporters, all of whom give their time so generously. Thanks to ALL and also to ALL our generous Donors.
Nationally the Appeal raised over £40million. However each year more than £90million is spent by The Royal British Legion on Welfare for ex-Service and Serving military Personnel and their close relatives.
The Poppy Appeal each year require further volunteers to replace those who can no longer help due to age, or sadly, are no longer with us.
