The following events are planned for the Thorne branch during 2025.

4th June 2025 -
Commemorate the 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo, the evacuation from Dunkirk.  A short memorial service to be held at Thorne Memorial Park, commencing at 1045hrs

14th June 2025 - 

The branch will be at Thorne Aldi's with a pop up stand.  Branch members will be manning the stall with all the latest poppy appeal items and ready to chat with the local community.

28th June 2025 -
Armed Forces Day, event to be organised by Doncaster City Council.  Thorne branch will be in attendance at a venue to be confirmed.

26 -27 July 2025 -
Thorne Summer Festival to be held at Thorne Memorial Park, date and further details to be confirmed.

2nd August 2025 - Branch Summer BBQ

Annual Summer BBQ for branch members and guests

2nd September 2025 -
Celebrate the victory in the Far East by allied forces.  A memorial service to be held at Thorne Memorial Park, further details to be published.

24th October 2025 -
Poppy Appeal launch.  Poppy sales commence in the local area.  Further details available on our Poppy Appeal page.

9th November 2025 -
Remembrance Sunday.  Service of remembrance to be held at Thorne Memorial Park, further details to be published.

11th November 2025 -
Armistice Day.  Service of remembrance to be held at Thorne Memorial Park, further details to be published.

27th November 2025 -
Thorne & District RBL Branch Annual General Meeting to be held at 6pm at the Canal Tavern, Thorne.
