In March 2015 many Members of the Royal British Legion Kent County "Holding" branch were transferred to our branch, the Village Branch (BR2004). Our membership now stands at 681 and we are now the largest branch in Kent.
This development fits well with the Kent County's aim to "bring the Legion back to the RBL Village" in Aylesford. We now share the RBL Village site with Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI), Poppy Appeal and the Kent County office. Recent developments on the Village include the recently completed Garden of Honour, an RBLI project, the official opening of which will take place later in 2015.
The recent expansion of our membership will hopefully bring many more Members to the Village to help us plan, organise and take part in a whole range of activities!
We are in the process of contacting all transferred-in Members and we look forward to welcoming them to the Royal British Legion Village in Aylesford, near Maidstone.
