Saturday 08th March 2025:
On Saturday 08th March 2025, our Poppy Appeal Organiser Andrew Parker and His Deputy, Will Fish were invited to the Hatherley Manor in Gloucestershire to a 'Thank You' Event covering the previous years work alongside the Poppy Appeal.
From this outing, both individuals were informed that overall Gloucestershire Poppy Appeal had raised:
£ 701,574.00 Overall
£197,330.00 on Contactless Machines
£9,400.00 via QR Codes Online Donations
£494,844.00 in Cash
An extraordinary amount, raised by Gloucestershire and a significant target to beat!
£50.2 Million as a National Total for 2024
Whilst at the event, Andrew Parker; our Poppy Appeal Organiser along with others from the Tri-County of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation and Long Service to the Poppy Appeal, by the Head of the Poppy Appeal > Pictured Below:
Monday 10th February 2025:
RBL Gloucestershire Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to each of the following members of Tewkesbury Branch for outstanding service to the Royal British Legion within Gloucestershire:
- Peter Godwin
- Phillip Edge
- Andrew Parker
Monday 09th December 2024:
Christmas Meal
Tewkesbury Branch held their Annual Christmas Meal at the Tudor House Hotel, kindly organised by our Branch Secretary Andy Parker on Monday 09th December 2024.
A good time was had by all, bringing lots of joy and festive cheer; although our venue was limited to 20 places due to the shear size. Those Members that attended had a lovely spread of 3 courses. Our Chairman, Peter Godwin delivered some successful toasts followed by a blessing from Our Padre, Father Charles.
We concluded the evening with a few rounds of Port, of which were kindly donated by our Honorary Vice President, Mike Kean- Price.
From all of us at Tewkesbury RBL Branch, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

A very big THANK YOU to all of you who volunteered to collect for this year's Poppy Appeal in October and November and to all who made a donation to our charity.
Bearing in mind that the 2024 - 2025 Poppy Appeal year still has 10 months to run, since 1st October in Tewkesbury and the surrounding area we have raised an amazing £38,555.19p
so far...
