Emmanuel Church Christmas Fair 2025
The branch attended the Emmanuel Church Christmas Fair on 29th November.
We had all sorts of goodies to sell, as you can see in the video on our Facebook page by following the link below:

We had various poppy broaches, cushion covers, wall plaques as well as the usual pens, googly eyed bugs etc. to sell.
The tombola was the biggest success, with our first prize going within 10 minutes of the stall opening. Here is the winner of the first prize:

We even had a booby prize within the tombola of an army ration pack. Here is the winner of that prize:

As you can see, he's rather chuffed with it, as he likes to go camping.
We had 2 raffle prizes available. The first was for a wonderful handmade and decorated Christmas cake, made by our Treasurer. This was won on the day.

Unfortunately, our second raffle prize wasn't as successful. We didn't have enough ticket sales for this crocheted set of 3 servicewomen, which was handmade by the wife of the Chairman.

This will be available to win at our next event instead.
During the day, the Chairman came along and kept everyone entertained with his guitar.
The event helped us to raise the grand sum of £93.25 for the branch. Our thanks go to the Secretary and Treasurer for setting up and running the stall and the Chairman for providing moral support.
To keep the branch alive, we need more volunteers to help set up, and run the stalls at our upcoming events. If you have friends who have an interest in joining the branch, bring them along so they can see what we do.
