Swadlincote Branch of The Royal British Legion (RBL).
You may or may not be aware that the branch officers have recently stood down and therefore does not have any committee. However, we are passionate about keeping the branches alive and keeping
Remembrance a key part of the community and offering comradery to fellow veterans and their families in whatever way suitable for the area.
The options for the branch are as follows:
1. Establish the committee and continue
3. Become a County Supported Branch – the branch would retain the Standard but the bank account would close and County would administer the branch funds
4. Close the branch and lay up the Standard.
The first step is to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) to see if the membership is there to support the Branch and its activities. As such, an SGM is going to be held. It will take place on:
Time/Date: Tuesday, 24th February at 7pm
Venue: Swadlincote Fire Station
