Sutton Scotney Branch holds its annual Remembrance Day ceremony at the war memorial, Sutton Scotney on the Sunday closest to 11th November.  Usually watched by a good turnout of villagers from Wonston, Sutton Scotney, Barton Stacey, Bullington and Micheldever the parade consists of Branch members with the standards of the Branch and the Womens' Section, a contingent from the Adjutant General's Corps, Worthy Down, the 14th (Winchester) Scout Group.  Wreaths were laid on behalf of these units as well as the Wonston Parish Council, Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire & Isle of White Fire and Rescue Service, The Royal Army Pay Corps Association and the Hampshire Riders' Branch of the Legion.  The exhortation is given by Rear Admiral Iain Henderson CB CBE DL. Last Post and Rouse are sounded. The Kohima Prayer is delivered. The names of the fallen, from both World Wars and subsequently are read out.  Prayers are then read.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, many of the participants and observers move on to Holy Trinity Church, Wonston for the morning service.
