2025 Lepe D-Day Service & Celebration

As usual there was a great turn out of Standard Bearer's at this year's annual D-Day service and celebration at Lepe; where so many of D-Day troops embarked vessels to make the Channel crossing on the 6th June 1944.

It was a bright and sunny day for us, albeit windy, as is so often the case on the coast.  The wind actually proved a big challenge for us standard bearers, who all had to clasp our buckets with a left hand while at the carry.

We were accompanied by the Hampshire Caledoninan Pipe Band as we marched on to the parade.
