The Officer's Mess at Worthy Down, facilitated another wonderful annual dinner this year for the Sutton Scotney & District Branch of the Royal British Legion, together with their guests and several members from the Royal British Legion Women's Section, Sutton Scotney.

The party numbered about 30 with guests coming from across north Hampshire to dine in the splendid facilities offered at Worthy Down. The delicious three course meal had been organised, and was overseen, by the evening's Master of Ceremonies, the newly elected Vice-Chairman of the Sutton Scotney Branch, Philip Keating.  Philip had kindly provided some entertainment during the meal with his traditional quiz, which got neighbours at the dinner tables talking, as they scratched their heads trying to recall the capitals of the various British Overseas Territories. 

As per tradition, the dinner culminated with a playing of the marching melodies of the numerous services and regiments represented by guests at dinner.  This was followed by the Branch President, Ian Henderson, thanking the outgoing Chairman, Philip Keating, and Secretary, Blair Southerden, for their many years' service to the Branch and Legion.  It was then time for quiz winners and winning raffle ticket holders to collect their prizes.  Our thanks go to those who donated prizes for the raffle.
