*Due to ongoing COVID19 restrictions and the safety of volunteers and the public - The poppy appeal will look very different this year.*

24th October 2020 was the official launch for the Poppy Appeal. A very different looking appeal due to the COVID 19 restrictions and safety measures put in place. 

Collectors were in the Town with Poppies and lapel Pins at COVID secure collection points Only, selling various Poppy items. 

Various Supermarkets and shops around the town had static collection points and poppy boxes - but with no volunteers.

Unfortunately, due to the second Lockdown on Thursday 5th November collection days that had been planned were cancelled. 

The Ormiston Academy also ran a fantastic online Festival of Remembrance this year. Well done to all involved in the event. 

Many thanks to all those that helped organise, collect or support the Poppy Appeal this year.

**We hope next year will be COVID free as we celebrate the centenary year of the British Legion. **
