The Sudbury Commemoration Ball was held on Saturday 24th November at The Bull Hotel, Long Meford.
A fantastic turnout of 90 Branch members and guests were treated to drinks, a fabulous meal, a prize raffle and entertainment.

The annual branch dinner night was held in The Bull, Long Melford.
Another fantastic night with great food and lots of good banter was started by Trish piping in all the attendees.
Well done to Margaret and Maureen for organising another successful night.

Menin Gate Wreath Laying during Last Post Ceremony
Mitch Sage recently visited the Menin Gate and during the last post ceremony laid wreaths to honour the fallen.
The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a war memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient of World War I and whose graves are unknown.

"Music through the years"
Two of the arrangements at Great Cornard Flower Festival. On all weekend in St. Andrews Church lots of lovely flowers depicting music.

23rd July 17 - Party in the Park
The Party in the Park was held once again in the Belle Vue Park in Sudbury.
Members were on hand throughout the day to help sell our ever popular poppy items and to inform visitors of the great work done by the RBL.
The standards were impecibly displayed by Frank & Colin during the retreat (sunset).
The weather was typically British with both sunshine and showers, though this didn't dampen the spirits of attendees or our members.
Well done to Lauren who kindly painted a picture and donated it to the stall.

11th July 17
Branch President Len Mannning attended a reception and flying display to celebrate 60 years of The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Held at RAF Coningsby - Len along with other veterans and pilots rubbed shoulders with TV Royalty in Carol Vorderman and the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.

8th July 17 - Branch Bar B Que
A Branch bar-b-que was held in the picturesque Cornard Lock on Saturday.
Over 40 people came along to enjoy the view, company and the gourmet food.

4th July 17 - USAF Independence Day Service
A Platoon from Mildenhall USAF was joined by: Mayor Mrs Sarah Page Deputy Mayor Ms Sue Ayres Councillors, TRBL & RAFA for a memorial service at St Gregorys church.
Together with the USAF standard were the Union, Branch and RAFA Standard.

Armed Forces Day was once again celebrated in the town.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
Many thanks to Colin Smith on organising the whole day which ran seemlessly.
