Members of the public are invited to come along to any meetings or gatherings and will be very welcome, our Secretary will even make you a cup of tea or coffee and offer you a biscuit.
Please come along and take a look at what we do, ask questions if you have them or just drop by for a chat.
Thursday May 8th: VE Day 80th Anniversary events on Stonehouse Memorial Green:
- 9am in the morning - The VE Day flag will be raised to sound of Reveille, a commemerative wreath will be laid on the memorial and the proclaimation read by the leader of Stonehouse Town Council
- 9:30pm in the evening - The VE Day beacon will be lit in the centre of the green, the National Tribute read by the leader of Stonehouse Town Council and the Branch Chaplain will lead a rendition of I Vow to Thee My Country
Saturday May 10th: 10am - 2pm we will be on the town green outside Stonehouse Pharmacy with information leaflets, promotional items, a tombola and special limited edition VE Day 80 pin badges. Come along and say hi
