The Poppy Appeal in Stonehouse
Thank you all for your fantastic support for the 2025 Poppy Appeal
Thanks to you, we have raised £24,044.42 and counting. This is ahead of the figure same time last year, and before any Gift Aid donations have been counted.
The total includes:
£16,000 raised by our collectors at Gloucester M5 Services
£780 collected by Wycliffe CCF Cadets
£538 collected by Stonehouse Army Cadets
£543 collected by Wycliffe College
None of this would be possible without your help, and also without the time and dedication of our amazing team of Poppy Appeal Organisers, Ruth and Geraldine who both worked so hard to make it happen, delivering stock, setting up stalls, counting the collections late at night. Well done ladies!
Donations to the Poppy Appeal go 100% to the Royal British Legion, in support of the Armed Forces Family, which not only includes veterans and their families, but serving members and their families too.
The RBL has been able to fund Recovery Centres to help those badly injured back to health- like the Battle Back Centre, founded in 2011 to support wounded and injured service personnel who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There are 7 care homes around the UK for veterans, run by the Royal British Legion.
