The St Agnes Branch was first established in 1932.This is according to the Royal British Legion archives in London.

It is locally believed to have been founded in 1922. Therefore further investigation is necessary to determine the actual year.

If 1922 was the founding date, that would have been in the year after the founding of The Royal British Legion in 1921, in fact only a few months. Therefore the St Agnes Branch would have been one of the first in the now World Wide chain of Royal British Legion Branches.
