The Poppy Appeal for 2017 is complete with the Cheque for the collected amount  sent to Head Quarters TRBL on the 5 December. At the moment the total is approaching £55,000. A full statement to the press was made, jointly, by the Branch Chairman, and Poppy Appeal Coordinator, as soon as the cheque was sent. Money collected via RBL HQ initiatives with national outlets like supermarkets, Banks, chain stores etc continues to be ascribed to the Branch throughout the winter and spring which increses the overall Solihull total collected. 

So well done everybody, and a big Thank You to all the people of Solihull who have been so generous in helping us to achieve thisperformance.The Branch Chairman put out a press release expressing The Royal British Legion's thanks to the people of Solihull for their generosiy and support.

Every one of the people and organisations who are involved in all the Poppy Appeal processes of distributing Poppy Appeal material, collecting on the streets or administration behind the scenes are recognised for their services by the award of a Certificates of Appreciation. The Royal British Legion makes these awards in five year steps from five years of service upwards.
