From 11 to 15 September there were WW1 Centenary ceremonies in the Champagne region of France commemorating the 1st Battle of the Marne in 1914, the famous allied victory at the beginning of WW1. Our chairman Richard Adams is the regular organiser of this annual pilgrimage visit by the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Association. He invited Branch Standard Bearer Chloe Wells to accompany the Fusilier party which she did. She carried the Branch Standard with pride and in accomplished fashion and was a credit to the Branch and indeed to Shipston. Below are some photos of the occasion.
