Due to the success of our Branch and the generosity of local people in supporting the Poppy Appeal, Shipston was chosen as the location for the County 2010 Poppy Appeal launch.

It took place in the High Street on Friday 22 October commencing at 1045am.  Actor James Fleet (Four Weddings & A Funeral, Vicar of Dibley) launched the Appeal and it was officially endorsed by the Mayor of Shipston.  Children from the Primary School  read Remembrance Day poems they had written themselves.  These poems can be seen here.
