Poppy Appeal 2024 – so far

This year’s Appeal went well and expect it to be another great year for Seend.

Our 2 teams of collectors had plenty of stock, distributed and collected in without any issues.

Lamp Post Poppy sponsorship again very positive and our aim was to make them more widely visible – this appears to have been achieved with the results.

We were also supported by an extremely generous Employer once more and had a stall in work for 5 days leading up to Remembrance Day, with support from the WI and Eric Lepine (Silkwise Catering) supplying us with cakes for the duration.

Supporters Louise Downton and Tom Nicol gifted “craft” items to the stall. 40 x Arnhem Veteran books gifted to our Poppy Appeal, interview on Fantasy Radio and Devizes Books assisting sales of the book. All going to QR code.

Shrewton branch called for our support as they are without a PAO (Poppy Appeal Organiser) so supplied them with some stock, Poppy Tin stickers and QR codes – this will also go to our account.

Broughton Gifford School coverage. The Billy Can – Torcross (no local RBL coverage).

Church Collections (being sent direct to Poppy Appeal by bank transfer). Bishops Cannings £261.54 and Seend £363.93.

Lamp Post Poppies is a record year £1340 (previous year raised £945). QR Code donations 2024 so far £1164, informed 8th highest nationally and 1st place in the South West Region.

RBL Facebook Walk 121miles in November £120 (Kevin 55miles and Gavin 90miles).
