Retford & District Newsletter including Branch events
2025 is going to be a busy year for the Branch. These are just a few of the events that we will be involved with in 2025
It’s hard to beleive that we are now in May. The branch has already been very busy and it looks like we are going to get busier still in the coming months. During this time we hope to meet old and new friends of the Branch. Here is the updated list of up coming events.
The next Branch meeting will be Monday 1st September 2025 at Babworth Sport and Social Club. If you would like to come along to have a chat the meetings start at 1915hrs.
The Roll of Honour for both the first and second World Wars is now live.
The Retford & District Branch have been busy transcribing the names of the Members of the Armed Forces from the Retford & District area who served in both World Wars and who made the ultimate sacrifice on to the Roll of Honour page of the Retford & District Branch on the RBL website.
A very big thank you to all the hard work by Judith and Tony Goodall in recording the names of all the service personnel on their book “Retford and District Roll of Honour 1914 to 1919” without this it would not have been possible to get all the names transcribed in time for VE80.
