Future Events including our Poppy Appeal Social Night
Grosmont War Weekend – Fri/Sat/Sun 13/14/15th October – we intend to have a stall at the railway station this year for the 3 days and will be holding a parade of Standard Bearers and veterans at around 11am on the Sunday at the car park behind the station.
Poppy Appeal Launch – Friday 27th October at 10-30am Garden of Remembrance, Redcar.
Poppy Appeal Street Collection Launch – Saturday 28th October High Street 10-30am, near the clock.
Poppy Appeal Social Night – Friday 3rd November, Coatham Road Social Club, Redcar everyone welcome from 7pm its free, we have bingo, giant raffle & tombola [great prizes] and live entertainment, a fantastic evening out, the Mayor usually attends.
Service of Remembrance – Redcar & Cleveland College – 10am for 10-30am Friday 10th November.
Armistice Day Service/Veterans Concert – Saturday11th November at 10-45am, High Street near the clock. Everyone invited to this short but poignant event. Veterans Concert at Coatham Memorial Hall from 2pm doors open at 1-30pm it free, buffet and Cleveland Police Band to entertain.
Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service – Sunday 12th November, parade will form up at the side of the club at 10-45am ready to march of shortly after that. We intend to be at the cenotaph and hold the silence at 11am. Everyone is invited to attend and to lay a wreath, flowers or wooden crosses if they wish, we can provide and name of those laying can be read out if notice is given to the branch.
