The RBL Gamers Group will be run on the external platform of Discord, a social media/communication platform that is designed specifically for gaming groups such as this.
The Discord Platform has been designed for and mainly used by online gaming groups, either large communities or smaller personal groups of friends. Users of Discord can join multiple “Servers” of different groups and move between them when online with ease.
The RBL Gamers Group will be the server that our members can join. As the group size increase, so will the number of activities.
The platform can be used either by downloading the App on their PC, phone, tablet etc. or using the in-browser version which is identical to the PC app. Within the Server there are two main methods of communications, these are called “channels”.
The first channel for communication is the text channels, much like with Microsoft Teams it is a simple text chat where members can communicate with each other, this can be for general discussions on RBL matters or just or just to chat with like-minded individuals.
The second type of communication channel are voice channels. These channels function as group calls and can be joined at any time by members of the group to speak with other members currently online, as with the Text Channels we can create as many of these as we need based on the feedback or requests from the group's members. Members will be able to see who is currently in the voice channel before they join.
As a group for RBL members, you are more than welcome to start a new community within our channel. We champion inclusivity online and we hope our members engage in a wide variety of games, whether on PS, Switch, X-Box, PC etc, and engage in a variety of channels such as:
