Ramsbottom Roll Of Honour

These pages are dedicated to all the men and women born or resident in Ramsbottom and surrounding areas, who lived, fought, sacrificed and died during the two World Wars. It is our hope that by reading about the lives of those involved, they will be remembered for the immense price that they paid.

Ramsbottom RBL is proud to be associated with The Ramsbottom War Memorial Project. The Ramsbottom War Memorial Project Team worked for ten years raising the funds to design and build a memorial in the memorial gardens on Bridge Street.

Research found that there were in the region of 500 service personnel from the old Urban District of Ramsbottomwho gave their lives for there country since the start of WW1. The aim of the project was to have the names of the fallen engraved in the new memorial which was dedicated in May 2022

We hope that you find the information complied so far of value and interest.
