Parade At Voith Mill, Stubbins 2011
This act of remembrance takes place at the memorial in the
grounds of the old Porritts Mill, now Voith Fabrics, in Stubbins.
The memorial plaques list those ex-workers of Porritts Mill
who paid the ultimate price during W1 and WW2. This parade
takes place on Remembrance Sunday just after the Remembrance Parade
in Ramsbottom centre. This service has been undertaken
annually for the last 15 years. Our thanks go to Voith Fabrics who
not only maintain the memorial but also allow this annual parade of
remembrance to take place.
