Welcome to the Royal British Legion Normandy Branch 4045

The Normandy (France) Branch of the Royal British Legion was formed in February 2023 after a long period without a formal Branch Structure in the Normandy area.  The Branch members (currently around 70) reside almost equally in Basse Normandie and the UK.  Many of the UK members have holiday homes in Normandy or visit here regularly. The sub-region of Basse Normandie is approximately the same size as Wales and has three administrative Départements: Calvados, Manche and Orne. Members who are French residents are spread across the Region, with concentrations around Vire-Normandie (Calvados) and between Bayeux (Calvados) and St Lo (Manche).

Our Branch members are a mix of British and French citizens and there is a mix of Armed Forces veterans and those interested in military history and commemoration.

In addition to being part of the Royal British Legion Charity the Normandy Branch of the Royal British Legion is a French Association, registered with the Prefect of Calvados under Loi 1901

Since January 2025 the Branch has been formally twinned with the RBL Branch at Galanos House
