Poppy People

Just to keep everyone updated, the total amount raised for the poppy appeal 2011 was £41.372.96p  A big thank you to all that helped and supported Newtownards Branch of the Royal British legion. A special thanks to the poppy appeal organiser Davy Forsyth ..and his two loyal lieutenants Harry Cowan and Jimmy Vance. There will be a special thank you night on Friday 24th February in the front lounge, with food drinks and entertainment.... and it,s open to all that helped in any way Thanks Newtownards RBL...... P.S. This amount is the largest amount ever collected buy the branch..
