The following photos were taken at the rededication of the Drighlington War Memorial.
The rededication service was held on the 8th July 2012 after total refurbishment of the War Memorial that had been erected and originally dedicated in 1933 by the local Royal British Legion.
The two plaques give the names of the fallen of men and women of Drighlington that had given their ultimate sacrifice in both world wars for our freedom.
Wreaths were laid during the service by Deputy Lord Liuetenant Major S. Hardy, the Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Ann Castle, Mr D. Marshall the Chairman of the Leeds Group Royal British Legion and finally by Mr S. Slater Parish Councillor of Drighlington.
