The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
We hold a parade from the Minster & Monkton RBL Club to the village church where a service of remembrance is held. Anybody is welcome to join the parade but we would especially like to welcome any current serving members of HM Armed Forces in uniform who would like to lead the parade
There then follows an afternoon of music, entertainment, food and friendship at the RBL club afterwards.
Always an enjoyable afternoon. 2024 had visits from local dignitaries including Sir Roger Gale MP, visitors from Armbouts-Cappel (Minster's twin village) including their Mayor and members of the council, Members of Minster Parish Council, KCC Councillors & (of course) veterans and current serving members of HM Armed Forces.
