The Mears Ashby & Sywell Branch was first established in 1948.  During the late seventies the Earls Barton & Ecton Branch merged with that of Mears Ashby & Sywell. The outcome has been one of strength and this Branch comprises some 100 members.  It is a very rural Branch and encompasses the villages of Earls Barton, Ecton, Hardwick, Mears Ashby, Overstone and Sywell. 

The Branch has a full active programme of regular meetings, social events, outings and a strong Bowls Section. 

In line with the Legion's policy of strengthening ties with youth organisations the Branch is affiliated with 378 Mannock Squadron Air Training Corps in Wellingborough.
