Remembrance Sunday Parade will be on Sunday 10th November at 10.15am from Rainey Street Carpark to First Presbyterian Church.

18th October Organise Poppy boxes at Hall.

19th October Festival of Remembrance at Waterfront Hall. a small number of tickets are still available and can be had from Roy Lennox. Comrades Tom Asher and Charlie McIntyre are taking part in the Muster.

23th October Distribution of Poppy boxes.

November

Sunday 3rd 1500 hrs Unveiling of a plaque at Desertmartin COI remembering members od security forces murdered during the Troubles.

Thursday 7th Next Branch meeting at hall 1945 hrs.

Sunday 10th 0900 hrs UDR service of Remembrance at St. Swithins 

Sunday 10th 1015 hrs Remembrance Parade assemble Rainey Street car park.

Sunday 10th 1745 hrs Remembrance Parade Tobermore from Orange Hal.

Monday 11th 1045 hrs Wreath laying ceremony Castledawson Cenotaph.

December

Thursday 5th Branch meeting at Hall which will take the form of a pub quiz on behalf of Branch Funds.l

It is proposed that the Branch together with Castledawson and Upperlands Branches hold a Great War Reflection Day in Magherafelt on the 13th September 2014.

Venue will be Meadowbank Arena which is booked for the whole day.

Parade will start from Rainey School car park at 1300 hrs and proceed to Meadowbank Sports Arena where a Drunhead Service will be held from 1330 hrs to 1400 hrs. There will be  entertainment for both children and adults. more details will follow

Wonderful tribute paid to Comrade Jim Monteith in the current issue of the Legion Magazine for his work as Poppy Organizer.

The attendance at the Branch meeting 03.04.2014 was 19

4 Comrades including the Standard Bearer will be representing the Branch at RBL Broughshane Somme Remembrance Parade 29.06.14 at 1415

The branch Chairman has been intervied by the Mid Ulstert Mail i connection with our event on 13th September.

Our Day of Reflection was a hugh success with approx 3000 attending the Meadowbank Sports Arena including the Parade and Standards.

26/5/15 A delegation from Castledawson,Magherafelt & Upperlands presented a cheque for £1000 to Bennet House Portrush.

Comrade Ronnie Walker is making a lamp which is to be raffled  in aid of Branch funds
