The Lytchett United Branch of The Royal British Legion was first established in 1921, the year of the first Poppy Day. Our first president was Sir John Lees, Bart, and first meetings were held in the Lytchett Minster Mission Hall.
We have no record of numbers in 1921, but by 1926 there were 77: today we have about 500, but if you would like to help us on the way to our next target of 600, we will be delighted to welcome you!
