On Wednesday 16 July 2025 the Loja Branch said their final goodbyes to Rachael Gallacher.

Rachael along with her late husband Dennis was one of the founder members of the branch back in November 2009.

The small but private service was held in El Bar Del Parque, Ventorros de San Jose.

The memorial was arranged by Elaine Smith. Introduced by the branch Chair, Bob Adams, followed by Elaine herself, who gave us a brief eulogy and Martyn Willis said a few words. The service was finalised by The Reverend Doreen Cage who said a prayer and gave her blessing.

The service was attended by 14 branch members and invited guests. A couple of photos are attached to this post and the whole event was filmed live and broadcast to Rachael's daughter in the UK.
