On Monday 27 March 2023 at 4 pm, members of the Loja Branch of the RBL and a number of friends said farewell to Dennis Gallacher at a memorial service held at the care home in Iznajar where Dennis and his wife Rachael were residing at the time of Dennis passing.

The service was officiated by the Reverend Doreen Cage the Spain South District Chaplain.

Dennis was a veteran who served a full career in the British Army in the Corps of Royal Signals where he attained the rank of Warrant Officer Class One with the appointment of Yeoman of Signals.

He was also the founder member of the Loja Branch of the RBL and was the branch Chairman for a number of years and then the branch President.

The Loja Branch Standard was paraded at the memorial service in honour of Dennis and his service to the branch. RIP Dennis.
