Loja

On Sunday 9 November 2025 the Loja Branch held its own Remembrance Service at Hotel Paraiso near Moraleda. This was the first ever such service the branch has held but we intend to continue having these services in future years.

The service was attended by 32 branch members and their guests and afterwards 24 people stayed for a lunch meal.

The service was very well accepted and many people commented on how well organised and professional it had been.

The Branch Chairman would like to express his thanks to everyone who attended and also to those involved in organising the event, specifically the branch secretary Alison Humphrey, branch treasurer Mike Lynch who provided all the music and sound equipment, Tony Humphrey our Vice Chairman and Standard Bearer, Claire Jenkinson for officiating the service as our in house member of the clergy and Martyn and Cathy Willis for the many photos of the event.

Our thanks also to those who laid wreaths on the day namely Billy Garratt, Debbie Crowley and Lawrence Strong. A number of photos of the service and the meal afterwards are included below.
