The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

The Remembrance Service is held at the Memorial at the Friedhof in Cappel.

Where at the 11th hour a short service is given in conjustion with the Village members.  

Once the Service is concluded, the DGH (Village Hall) is open for refreshments after what is traditionally a rather cold and wet morning in November.
