MAYOR'S PARLOUR 28 JUNE 2014
To mark Armed Forces Day 2014 the Mayor invited members of The Royal British Legion to the Mayor's Parlour

Council granted £500 to help with Branch WW1 Centenary Commemorations in August and October. The Mayor commissioned a picture to present to Vice President, George Mc Callion. The picture shows a field of poppies at Drumrane Road, Limavady.

The Mayor had also ordered a special Armed Forces Day cake, which went down a treat!

Who's this?

Medic ready for action on "Sinman" - a computerised training aid worth £36,000 - more lifelike than you can imagine; breathes, has a pulse, speaks, his tongue can swell and his symptoms are adjusted to respond to the treatment being administered by the medics

Wonder what Richard Nicholl and the PSAO are chatting about?

Branch President, Ernie Norris, with volunteer Poppy People Pearl Caldwell & Rex Boorman; all ready for action.

Members of 253 Medical Regiment, 108 Medical Squadron and Army cadets. Padre to The RBL, N. I. Canon Sam Mc Veigh, MBE in the background.

Launch of the Poppy Appeal in 2011
Poppy Man came to visit the Roe Valley. Two of our veterans, Gwen Harvey and Bobby Scott, were happy to show him around. This shot from the viewing point on top of Benevenagh looking out over Magilligan Point towards the Donegal hills.

Cadets and TA serviceman join Poppy Man. Lovely weather on the day.

Poppy Man's tour of the Borough moves to Mussenden Temple at Downhill and then it's back to town to get on with the collection.
