The Poppy Appeal in Leytonstone

Leytonstone Branch RBL 2020 Poppy Appeal

LEYTONSTONE Branch of the Royal British Legion would like to thank the people of Leytonstone and Waltham Forest for their wonderful support with this year’s POPPY APPEAL.

Although this year has been an exceptionally hard year with all the Covid-19 restrictions and the considerably reduced merchandise available to us, we have given this year appeal our full and total commitment

Despite current restrictions and being unable to collect at a number of our usual venues, including Leytonstone Tube Station and Whipps Cross Hospital, and having to finish early due to an imposed lockdown, it was a wonderful amount to raise which we could not of done without your generosity.

We would like to thank everyone who had our collection boxes and  Anton and all the staff at Tesco Leytonstone Store for their warm welcome and allowing us to collect there this year.

All active branch members took part in this year’s appeal including our new members in helping to achieve a successful outcome to our appeal as possible.

We would also like to give a big thank you to all the volunteers. Our Poppy Appeal organiser Doreen Calder, her deputy Sheila Leforte and both Alan Calder and Paul Leforte who have done a fantastic job organising it all.

We have raised a total of

***  £ 11,116.84  ***

Once again many thanks to all of you for your support and we would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a safe and healthy future.

Leytonstone Branch has, and always will exceed in its fundraising skills.

On behalf of Leytonstone Royal British Legion,

Thank You
