Standing at the junction of Marine Parade West and Richmond Road, the Fleet Air Arm Memorial looks out across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight.

The memorial is an official Commonwealth War Graves memorial and commemorates all those men of the FAA and one women who have no known grave. There are over 1900 names listed on the memorial, pilot who flew fighters, bombers and reconnaissance craft, ground crew, engineers mechanics and fitters, all who played a part in the war effort of WWII
