Owing to the historic links between the Armed Forces and Lee on the Solent the town has several memorials, commemorative stones and plaques located within the boundaries, most notably:

• The a War Memorial Garden with a cross that lists names of locals who died in both World Wars. This is the location for the annual Remembrance Sunday Parade/Service.
• A Fleet Air Arm memorial on the seafront that commemorates over 1,900 servicemen and one woman who died in WWII with no known grave.
• A memorial plaque on a building used by the WRNS during WWII which suffered a "friendly fire" incident when a stray anti-aircraft shell landed on the building and killed a number of the WRNS. personnel living there.
