Branch Presidents Welcome
As the Station and British Forces Cyprus (BFC) embark on new challenges in 2025, I am excited to see that the RBL is rising to the challenges set in our ever-changing world. The RBL is a critically important partner in supporting our local community and the growing UK veteran population in Cyprus.
I am honoured to be the President of the Larnaca branch and immensely proud of the committee and its members for the work in supporting the numerous events we hold throughout the year. In 2025, we will celebrate significant occasions, including the 80th anniversary of VE Day in May, VJ Day in August, and the Festival of Remembrance in November. While walking around the Station and travelling in the wider Eastern Sovereign Base Area (ESBA), I am continually reminded of the dedication of the RBL in maintaining facilities and providing care and support to both our married and single service personnel, whether they are stationed here or deployed on operational duties across Cyprus and the world.
The Larnaca RBL would not be the organisation it is today without the support of both serving and retired service personnel and their families. I invite you all to explore the new pages within this site and consider becoming a member, attending the many exciting and fun events each month, and/or providing your support when needed to help others.
This May, the RBL turns 104 years old. For any charity to endure for that long, and with HRH The King as its patron, it must be on the right track. I believe that our branch is an essential part of this ever-developing organisation. With our support and attendance, we can help it continue for another 100+ years. One day in the future you, or someone close to you, may need the help of the RBL, so let's all show our support today by being an active part of this fantastic organisation.
