Our volunteer's and members have had a busy weekend preparing for Remembrance week in the village.
97 names from the War Memorial have been commemorated on lamp posts throughout the village, each of the names and family groups commemorate those men that fell during the Great War, second world war and one Casualty who fell in Belize.
As a branch we felt this was important to remember each of these men because the impact to the families and rural communities was vast.
We have received a lot of positive feedback and thanks from those families who were affected, which has also created a lot of discussion regarding their service and lives.
We would like to thank the Lakes Parish Council in supporting us with a kind donation and support in facilitating this act of Remembrance.
If you are visiting the area or a resident we ask that you look up and pause for a moment to remember these men.
Thankyou for your support, without you we would not be able to continue to grow.
