VE80 BEACON LIGHTING

We were extremely proud to be involved with the VE80 Commemorations held in Kippax on 8 May.

In the morning, our President, Mr Alec Angus, read the National Proclamation and the Union Flag was raised by our Branch Community Co-ordinator, Mr John Henry.  A wreath was also laid by one of our Committee Members, Mrs Pat Barker.

In the evening, again our President read the National Proclamation and the beacon lighting was attended by several members of our Branch.  Our thanks go to Kippax Parish Council for the organisation of this event and for all of those who attended to pay their respects and commemorate such an important event.
