Kippax & District Branch is proud to be involved with a new initiative to raise awareness of the importance of Remembrance.

We have approached the seven primary schools in our area to participate in a poetry competition where pupils are invited to write a piece of poetry relating to Remembrance.  It is intended that a pupil from each participting school will be chosen by a panel of judges to win a prize, with the judges' favourite from that group being crowed overall winner.  That winning poem will be included as part of the Kippax Remembrance Day Service.

We are pleased to say that, to date, four of the seven schools in our area have let us know they will be participating.
