The Kingsbridge Branch was formed in 1921 and original Branch Premises was a shed in Baptist Lane in Kingsbridge. Around 1971 the vision and 'drive' of the Committee moved the Branch to premises off Fore Street. With a bar and entertainment the now formed Club really 'took off' and became an established venue within Kingsbridge.
The Committee then purchased the old Flour mill in Mill Street and re-developed it to form 3 shops, storage area and Garage. Retaining the upper floor to make a new club area.
Further vision by the Committee and good cash receipts enabled the purchase of a cottage in the town for the then Bar Steward and his family. The cottage is now let to a tenant but still the property of the Branch.
In 2011 the club was re-branded as the (RBL) The Mill Club offers a warm welcome to all visitors and with drinks at a moderate price. The Mill Club being a good advert for a thriving Royal British Legion Branch. Phone 01548 852955 for details.

About The Royal British Legion
We provide financial, social and emotional care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces - past and present and their families. The Legion is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces and is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.
Founded in 1921, the Legion is not just about those who fought in the two World Wars of the last century, but also about those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting for the freedom we enjoy today.
